1 Star Great Taste Award 2026

Our Irish made hot buzz (hot honey) has been turning heads and warming hearts since we launched in Summer 2025. So much so that O'Donnells Crisps were inspired to launch their new Hot Honey Fusion flavour in collaboration with us, a very proud moment for us all in Rivesci!

Sustainability note: The soybean paste (miso) used in Dec's Hot Honey is a by-product of our Smoked Chilli Oil. We try our best to minimise the food waste produced on-site by reusing it in creative ways! 

Ingredients: Honey (92%) (See origin below), Soybean Paste (SOYA) [Water, Soybeans, Rice, Salt, Ethyl Alcohol](Infused with Cold Pressed Irish Rapeseed Oil, Garlic, Honey (See origin below), Ginger, Smoked Paprika, Chilli Flakes, Irish Sea Salt, Herbs & Spices), Irish Cider Vinegar, Habanero.

Allergens in bold. May contain traces of tree nuts, sesame, peanuts, mustard & sulphites.

Please note the origin of the honey will be clearly marked on the label. We have been using single origin Spanish honey for many years but this may change in the future, thank you.

We recently had to change the name of this product to 'Dec's Hot Buzz' due to new EU labelling requirements for honey in 2026. Same product, new name!

Meet the Team

‘Rívesci’ is a play on words whilst also paying homage to Shannon and Declan’s roots. ‘Rí’ is the Irish for King and Shannon’s first home in Clonmel was at King Street Flats. ‘vesci’ is the Latin for food and also acknowledges Declan’s hometown of Abbeyleix, Co.Laois as the ‘de Vesci’ family founded Abbeyleix many moons ago. It can also be recognised as ‘King of Food’, in Shannon & Declan’s eyes anyway!
